Lifeguard Training -
Dec 14 & 15: 5:00-9:00 pm
Dec 16 & 17: 9:00 am-5:00 pm
Attendance at all sessions is mandatory.
Successful participants become certified in CPR-FPR/AED, First Aid Basics and Lifeguard Training.
Please note: Participants must be 15 years old. During the first class, participants must be able to complete the following prerequisites:
*Tread water for 2 minutes using legs only.
* Swim 20 yards, retrieve 10 lb weight from the bottom of pool, return to starting point with the brick on your stomach using the breaststroke kick within one minute and 40 seconds. (No goggles)
* Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke. .
Cost: $220/member $250/non member. Includes a CPR pocket mask. Online books are available free at www.redcross.org/participantmaterials.
Candidates not able to complete the prerequisites will receive a refund.

Water Safety Instructor
Become a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Successful participants will be certified to teach all Red Cross levels of swimming.
Please Note: Participants must be 16 years old. During the first class, candidates MUST successfully complete the following prerequisites:
* 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke, breastroke, sidestroke and elementary backstroke
* 15 yards of butterfly
Candidates unable to complete the prerequisites will receive a refund.
