Adult Tennis

Adult Beginner
This clinic is for adults with little or no tennis experience. The focus of the clinics will be on developing solid fundamentals for all shots in the game of tennis – forehand, backhand, serve, volley and overhead. The basic rules of tennis will be introduced as well as scoring. Adults, 16 years and older.

Adult Intermediate
This clinic is for adults with some prior tennis experience. There will be a focus on more advanced stroke development. The rules of tennis, scoring and match play techniques will be introduced. Ages 16 years and older.

Junior Tennis

Tiny Tennis
Ages 4 – 6
This clinic is for the beginner tennis player. Hand and eye coordination and an introduction to basic tennis skills will be the focus.

Junior Development
Ages 7 - 11
This clinic is for kids with little or no tennis experience. The focus of the clinics will be on developing solid fundamentals for all shots in the game of tennis - forehand, backhand, serve, volley and overhead. The basic rules of tennis will be introduced, as well as scoring.

Junior Intermediate
Ages 12 - 15
This clinic is for kids with some prior tennis experience. There will be a focus on more advanced stroke development. The rules of tennis, scoring and match play techniques will be introduced.

About CCBA’s Tennis Coordinator
Glen Eastridge, USPTA

2007 will mark Glen’s sixth year at the CCBA and will be his 20th year instructing tennis to individuals, groups, and teams. It will also be his 17th year as a certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Association.

Currently, Glen is serving as the Head Varsity Tennis Coach for the Hanover High School girls team, as well as being an instructor for clinics at the Alexis Boss Tennis Center at Dartmouth College.

Glen has coached for eight years on the collegiate level, as well as four years of high school tennis in Virginia. In addition to his coaching background, he has served as a tennis professional and director at several clubs in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Locally, Glen has been the Assistant Professional at the Quechee Club and Head Professional at the Newport Racquet Club.
