Guppies – recommended ages 6 months to 3 years
Guppies learn water awareness, basic swimming skills and swimmer safety. Parents are the key to fun and must participate in the water.

Goldfish – recommended ages 3 and 4 years
Goldfish learn water awareness, basic swimming skills; swimming on front and back, breath control, entering/exiting the water with and without support, and swimmer safety.

Level 1 – recommended ages 5 years and older or passed out of Goldfish
Level 1 covers water awareness, basic swimming skills; floating and swimming on front and back with and without support, breath control, entering/exiting water with and without support, and swimmer safety.

Level 2 – must be able to demonstrate all skills from Level 1
Level 2 covers floating and beginner strokes on front and back without support, orientation to deep water (jumping, kneeling dives), and swimmer safety.

Level 3 – must be able to demonstrate all skills from Level 2
Level 3 covers rhythmic breathing, complete front and back crawl strokes, introduction to elementary backstroke, deep water bobbing, introduction to compact dives, and swimmer safety.

Level 4 –- must be able to demonstrate all skills from Level 3
Level 4 covers elementary backstroke, treading water, underwater swimming, and swimmer safety.

Level 5 –- must be able to demonstrate all skills from Level 4
Swimmer covers breaststroke, sidestroke, treading water with different kicks, long-shallow dives, beginner progression from diving board and swimmer safety

Level 6 –- must be able to demonstrate all skills from Level 5
Swimmers will swim 100 yds of front/back crawl, 25 yds. of breastroke and sidestroke, 10 yds of butterfly, turns, pike and tuck surface dives, dives from the board and swimmer safety.

Lifeguard Training
Become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard. Participants learn the modern techniques of Lifeguarding. Successful participants will become certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid and Lifeguard training. Course includes safety training, exposure control, and water balance and surveillance techniques. Fee includes Lifeguard text and pocket mask.

Please Note: During the first class, candidates must successfully complete the following prerequisites:

* Swim 500 yds. continuously using front crawl, breaststroke, and sidestroke.
* Dive to depth of 7 feet and retrieve a 10 lb. weight.
* Tread water for 2 minutes using legs only.

Candidates not able to complete the prerequisites will receive a refund.

Lifeguard Re-certification
This course is being offered for lifeguards nearing the end of their certification. This course will include all current American Red Cross updates. Participants must possess current CPR/FPR and Lifeguarding Today cards to attend class.
